Rating Plate (Nameplate)
The rating plate (1, Fig. 4.1) contains important information (power rating, serial number of
the unit) that is needed by the service technician.
4.4.2
Footswitch Connection
The 5-pin socket (2, Fig. 4.1) is intended for connecting the screw-lock footswitch cable. The
footswitch should be positioned so that easy operation is guaranteed.
4.4.3
Mains Connection
The power cord must be connected to socket 3 (Fig. 4.1) having a power rating of 230 V,
50/60 Hz, max. 4 A. Only the power cord supplied (or a genuine KLS Martin replacement
cable) may be used for this purpose. For safety reasons, the grounded socket outlet used
should be fused at a rating no higher than 6 A. The power cord supplied is three-core
(including a PE/grounding conductor).
Use only the original KLS Martin power cord for connecting the laser unit to the
supply!
4.4.4
Cable Holder
The cable-holding clip (4, Fig. 4.1) prevents the power cord plug from loosening or getting
accidentally pulled out. It is only intended for use with the Martin power cord supplied! (Lift
clamp, insert the plug, then press the clamp in place on the plug.)
