Notice:
First switch off the laser unit! Then connect (or disconnect) the scanner cable.
To connect the scanner cable, plug the cable connector (1, Fig. 6.3) into the matching socket
located on top of the laser unit behind the articulated mirror arm (3, Fig. 6.3). Be sure to use
the cable end featuring the ferrite (3, Fig. 6.4).
Notice!
To disconnect the scanner cable, the connector (1, Fig. 6.3) must be unlocked by
pulling back the ring (2, Fig. 6.3).

Never establish the electric connection between the laser and the scanner as long
as the laser is turned on! First switch off the laser unit, then connect (or
disconnect) the scanner cable.
The other cable end must be plugged into the appropriate scanner socket (2, Fig. 6.2).
Connect the flexible irrigation gas tube to connector 3 (Fig. 6.2) of the scanner handpiece and
to the appropriate laser-unit connector (2, Fig. 6.4). Run the scanner cable along the
articulated mirror arm as shown in Fig. 6.4. Be sure to give the cable enough slack at the
joints to ensure unrestricted arm movement. The cable is long enough for this.
