5.5 Parameterization Tools

5.5.1 Overview

There are several ways to set the product's parameters. The following table provides an
overview of the tools.

A distinction is made between two parts of the configuration and parameterization:
1. EtherNet/IP configuration: select EtherNet/IP connection
2. Port configuration: digital input or output

Description
The EtherNet/IP scanner must be configured to exchange process data with the
765 Series modules. The EDS file wago_0765150x.eds (x = 1 ... 5) describes a
WAGO I/O System Field module. The configuration software of the EtherNet/IP
scanner can import this EDS file.
The user can configure and parameterize a 765 Series module. The user loads the
configuration onto the EtherNet/IP scanner. The EtherNet/IP scanner configures
the 765 Series module via EtherNet/IP. Whether or not the scanner sends port
configuration parameters depends on the connection selected.
For example, if connection 1 is used, the EtherNet/IP scanner transfers parameters
to the 765 Series module.
For example, if connection 2 is used, the EtherNet/IP scanner transfers no param-
eters to the 765 Series module, and the port must be configured with a different
tool.

The WAGO I/O Field Webserver is a Webserver that is integrated into the 765
Series module. With a Web browser, users can view the Web pages and display
and modify parameters.
The WAGO I/O Field app is an app for mobile devices that can communicate with
a 765 Series module via Bluetooth

WAGO IO-Link Configurator is software for configuring the WAGO IO-Link mas-
ters and the IO-Link devices.
