While the Force function is enabled, the watchdog timer needs to be triggered regularly.
Triggering occurs each time an input simulation and output method is called. The watch-
dog timer is also triggered when the "AssignedForceID" node is read. This means that
regular reading of the "AssignedForceID" node triggers the watchdog timer and keeps the
Force function active.
To terminate the Force function, the OPC UA client calls the "DisableForcing" method, us-
ing the previous Force ID again. This makes value of the Force ID invalid. The OPC UA
client or another instance can request a new Force ID from the product in order to reen-
able the Force function.
10.3.3.1.10 Using OPC UA Client
The module has an integrated OPC UA server. You can communicate with the module
with an OPC UA client.
For text purposes, you can, for example, use UaExpert from Unified Automation GmbH,
which is available at ü http://www.unifiedautomation.com.
An OPC UA client can have read access to the module with the authentication "anony-
mous." An OPC UA client can have read and write access to the module with the authen-
tication "username and password" if the user in question has write permission.
