2.5 Control Unit Installation

2.5.1 Environment

For using the robot system function properly and safely, a suitable environment is required.
Install the control unit in a location meets the following conditions.
- The Controller unit is not designed for cleanroom specification. If it must be installed
NOTE
in a cleanroom, be sure to install it in a proper enclosure with adequate ventilation and
cooling.
- Install Controller unit in a location that allows easy connection / disconnection of cables.
- Install Controller unit outside of the safety door.
- If there are conductive things such as fences or ladders within 2.5 m of the Controller,
ground the things.

If the controller must be used in an environment that does not fulfill the conditions
mentioned above, take adequate countermeasures. For example, the controller may be
enclosed in a cabinet with adequate ventilation and cooling.
- Install indoors, and place in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Keep away from radiation heat.
- Keep away from dust, oily mist, oil, salinity, metal powder or other contaminants.
- Keep away from water.
- Keep away from shocks or vibrations.
- Keep away from sources of electronic noise
- Keep away from strong electric or magnetic fields.
