Ink smears at the beginning of a canvas print
Due to the structural integrity of canvas, the media may not lay flat on the
platen. Try feeding 3-4" of media before starting to print.
Smudged or dark characters
Be sure you are using the correct type of paper for the application. Heavier
ink coverage may require heavier media. See p. 19.
Make sure the paper you load in the printer is straight and that it is not
wrinkled.
Clean.
Try a different print mode.
Improperly formed or misaligned characters
Calibrate.
Color problems or shadowing
Calibrate.
Colors are not correct or sections of print missing
Make sure all cartridges are firing. Clean. Prime. Calibrate.
The cartridge could be low on ink. Try refilling or replacing the cartridge.
Prime again.
Make sure that you have selected the correct ink type in the printer driver;
i.e., GA, or GS.
Print contains only partial image
Try loading larger media. Check that the paper size is set correctly in the
printer driver.
Print does not use correct margins or extended margins
You may have some paper curl or buckle in your media. Make sure the
media is flat on the platen and press the Load button. If the media is not
sitting flat on the platen, you may need to remove it from the printer and
curl it so it will sit flat against the platen.
