Aligning and calibrating the cartridges
After assuring that all cartridges are firing properly, you will want to
align them. For best results you should align the cartridges each time
you install a new cartridge or remove them for any reason.
To align the cartridges:
1.
Load paper into the printer.
2.
On the Calibration tab in the printer's software control panel, select Run
Calibration.
3.
Three test patterns print as shown.
Color Vertical Head-to-Head Calibration
Color Vertical Head-To-Head Calibration vertically aligns the cartridges.
The numbers below each set of lines represent the different horizontal
and vertical alignment offset values.
Color Horizontal Head-To-Head Calibration horizontally aligns the
cartridges. Three lines similar to the example below are printed with the
following color combinations: yellow/magenta, magenta/cyan, and
cyan/black.
