Getting ready to print

Before you can print, the following tasks must be complete:
•
connect printer to computer
•
connect the printer to a standard power source
•
load media
•
install the print driver and software control panel onto your
computer's hard drive
•
install, prime, and calibrate ink cartridges.
Note: PC-compatible computers use a parallel cable which supports
bidirectional communication and complies with IEEE-1284. Macintosh
computers use an ImageWriter cable.
If you haven't completed these tasks, refer to the Getting Started sheet.
Instructions for installing cartridges are also included in Chapter 6.
