Care of your media

Store media in its original packaging in a cool, dry area until you are
ready to use it. The environment should be relatively constant; i.e., no
extreme temperature changes, and non-condensing humidity. If storage
conditions are outside the operating ranges recommended for the
printer, allow the media to acclimate in a proper operating environment
for at least 24 hours before use.
If you remove a roll of media from the printer, be sure to store it in a
manner which keeps it clean and dust-free. Ideally, you should store
your media in its original packaging.
Print on the correct side! Roll media is
wound with the proper side facing out.
When installed in the printer, media
should feed over the top of the roll.
Wear gloves when loading media! Film-based and photographic
paper-based media are easily scratched and creased and may
absorb skin oils. Wearing light cotton gloves can avoid
fingerprints on the media prior to printing, which could be visible
after ink is applied.
Protect the finished print from moisture. Allow finished print to
dry before touching or stacking.
