Current Heads (Y, M, C) shows yellow, magenta, and cyan "+"s which
represent the horizontal and vertical alignment between the cartridges.
When the colored + lines up horizontally and vertically with the black
alignment marks, no adjustment is required.
4.
Examine each of the printed test patterns to determine which value
shows the best horizontal and vertical alignment between cartridges.
Enter these values into the Calibration dialog box to get proper
alignment. Press the Apply button (Apply Settings for Windows 3.x).
5.
Reprint the test patterns by selecting Run Calibration.
6.
Examine the printed test patterns to be sure that the changes you made
were correctly implemented. Repeat steps 2-4 if necessary.
7.
Press the Cut button to remove the media from the printer.
Performing the Paper Length Calibration
1.
Click the Paper Length Calibration button in the Calibration tab. This
test prints a 33-inch line down the length of the media loaded in the
printer.
2.
Measure this line to determine if there are any line length accuracy
errors.
3.
If the line is not the right length, enter the actual length (in inches or
millimeters) in the dialog that appears, then click Use These Values.
The printer will then compensate for the error, resulting in accurate
printing.
