Plumb the Diverter Valve

The diverter valve should be plumbed for both injector and diverter modes.

Plumb the Diverter Valve in Injector Mode

The diverter valve is a two position, 6 port valve. If you put the valve in Position A
the sample flows through the external loop. When you switch the valve to Position B
(Figure 2-10), the sample is injected.
