Environmental Conditions for An Installation Location

When selecting an installation location for this instrument, be sure to check the following conditions:
1. Operating Ambient Temperature
10 to 35 °C
Temperature variations during measurement should be minimized.
2. Operating Ambient Humidity
25 to 85% Relative Humidity (non-condensing)
3. Atmosphere
a. Well ventilated.
b. Free from acidic or alkaline gases that could corrode metals significantly.
c. Free from vapors of solvents (e.g., benzene, thinner) that could affect the paint coating on the
instrument.
4. Other Requirements
a. Not exposed to direct sunlight.
Exposure to direct sunlight could result in deteriorated performance or discoloration of the
instrument.
Avoid installing the instrument near a window of the laboratory room.
b. Not exposed to drafts directly.
c. Free from intense vibrations and shocks.
d. Apart from a heat source such as a gas burner, electric heater, or oven.
e. Apart from a strong magnetism source such as an electric welder, high-frequency electric furnace,
or pole transformer.
f.
Free from dust and dirt.
Contamination with dust and dirt could deteriorate the performance of the instrument.
g. No abrupt fluctuations in power voltage.
Fluctuations in power voltage could cause noise in analytical data.
h. Do not connect the instrument to a power line used by an electric device that is not equipped
with a noise suppressor circuit (e.g., stirrer, vibrator).

After unpacking, check the delivered contents against the packing list furnished with the instrument. If
anything is missing or damaged, or if you have any question, please contact PerkinElmer.
