L'arbre d'entrl!e « » r�oit le mouvement moteur et entraTne en permanence
directement le oOne femelle de marche AVANT «2».
- par l'lnterm�lalre d'lm pignon fou «7». le cOne lemelle de marche AR RIERE ((3».
L'arbre de sortie «5» est muni d'une rampe hl!licoidate recevant le bicone mlile «41>. La
cette
translation du bicone mAle c411 sur rampe est assuree par le systeme de commande
d'embrayage «6».
La pousree d'embrayage du blcone sur un des oOnes femelles est proportionnelle au couple
r�istant de sortie (qui est transforme en poussee axiale par la rampa helicoidale}.

Marche AV ANT :
Le bicone «4» venant au contac1 de «2», l'arbre de sortie «5»
inverse de l'arbre d1entree « 1 11 . Le cone femelle «3» tourne librement sur l'arbre

Le blcOne «4» .venant au contact de .«3l>, l'erbre de s ortie

The inpul shaft « 1 » is driven by the engine and continually transmits motion
directly to the FORWARD gear female cone «2».
- through the idle pinion «711 to the REVERSE gear female cone «3».
The output shaft «5» has a helicoidal ramp carrying the double male cone «4». The translation
movement of the double male cone «4» along this ramp is ensured by the clutch control
system «6».
The double cone clut thrust against one of the female cones Is proportional to the reactive
output torque (which is converted to axial thrust by means of the helicoidal rampl. Onethus
obtains :
The FORWARD gear :
The double cone «4» thrusting against «2» transmits motion to the output shaft «5» whlch
is driven in the opposite direction than the Input shaft
on shaft 5».

The REVERSE gear :
The double cone a4ll thrusting against «3ll transmits mo lion to the output shaft
is driven i n the·same direction as the Input shaft (11 �.
The female cone «21> runs' freely on shaft cc5».
The Neutral Point :
The double cone K4.» is located between female cones «2» and
«5»
which remains idle.
