RSTI-EP PROFINET I/O Controller User Manual
GFK-2571R
When the PNS does not support PROFINET System Redundancy, or is not configured in an
HSB CPU Redundancy system, the PNS Programmer automatically selects simplex
operation (non-redundant control) by setting the Redundancy Mode parameter to None.
To configure a redundancy-capable PNS for simplex operation within an HSB CPU
Redundancy system, change the Redundancy Mode parameter on the Redundancy tab
from HSB CPU Redundancy to None.
PROFINET Scanner Parameters (Media Redundancy Tab)
By default, the PNS is not set up for Media Redundancy. If the system will use Media
Redundancy (see Section 6:, Redundant Media, for more information), open the Media
Redundancy tab and select Client.
