Loosening signal cables

Procedure
Adhere to the following sequence:

Procedure
1
Press the screwdriver into the spring release of the
terminal as far as it will go.
The terminal opens.
Leave the screwdriver in the spring release.

Pull out the cable.
Note
Avoid damaging the terminal
Never pull on the wire/cable while pressing the spring release.
7.2.5

Removing the Ex BaseUnit for Ex I/O module

Requirements
• The supply voltages for the Ex module group and any Ex module groups to the right of it are
switched off.
• There are no Ex I/O modules on the Ex BaseUnits.
Note
Adjacent components
To remove a specific Ex BaseUnit, you need to remove adjacent components (Ex BaseUnit or
server module) located on the right. If there is a clearance of approx. 8 mm to the adjacent
components on the right, you can remove the Ex BaseUnit.
Note
Module in Zone 2
In general, it is not allowed to pull or plug modules in Zone 2.
Before starting work, ensure that no explosive atmosphere is present and that the power supply
is switched off.
