Ex BaseUnit for Ex power module

Definition
The Ex BaseUnit for an Ex power module is a component of an Ex module group with electrical
and mechanical functions.

• Isolation of the potential groups to the modules on the left-hand
side
• Routing the supply voltage of the Ex power module to the power
bus.
• Routing the backplane bus to Ex BaseUnits plugged in at the right.

• Specification of the slot on the mounting rail
• Mounting and mechanical protection of an Ex power module
• Mechanical connection with the module on the left (default I/O
or Ex BaseUnit for an Ex I/O module).
