Firmware update

This section describes the basic procedure for updating the firmware of the following modules:
• Ex power module
• Ex I/O module
Requirements
• A connection to the I/O station exists.
• The storage location of the file for the firmware update is known.
Note
Firmware update of Ex I/O modules
The L+ supply voltage must be applied to the module at startup and during the firmware update.
Procedure
1. Open the hardware configuration in the engineering system.
2. Perform the firmware update.
