Adjacent components
To remove a specific Ex BaseUnit, you need to remove adjacent components (Ex BaseUnit or
server module) located on the right. If there is a clearance of approx. 8 mm to the adjacent
components on the right, you can remove the Ex BaseUnit.
Note
Module in Zone 2
In general, it is not allowed to pull or plug modules in Zone 2.
Before starting work, ensure that no explosive atmosphere is present and that the power supply
is switched off.

Procedure
Press the mounting rail release at the top of the Ex Base‐

Unit and move the Ex BaseUnit at least 8 mm to the

right .
1. Keep the mounting rail release on the Ex BaseUnit

pressed and swing the Ex BaseUnit out of the

2. Lift the Ex BaseUnit upwards from the mounting
