1 Drain screw for hydraulic fluid

In the following, the recommended actions for exchanging the hydraulic fluid are described
Variant 1:
- for variant 1.
Open the cover cap of the filler neck, see fig. 42 (important for the ventilation).
Open the drain screw using a hexagon socket wrench of size 10 mm.
Completely drain the hydraulic fluid into the oil pan.
Suck off the leaked hydraulic fluid using a suitable system and subsequently clean
the oil pan using suitable cleaning cloths. To do so, use suitable protective gloves.
Mount the drain screw.
In this connection, observe the tightening torque specified in fig. 52.
Fill in the new hydraulic fluid (information on the hydraulic fluid to be used is contained
in chap. 13). Also observe the information in chap. 8.3.
Close the filler neck by means of the cover cap.
In the following, the recommended actions for exchanging the hydraulic fluid are described
Variant 2:
- for variant 2.
Remove the hydraulic power unit in reverse order according to chap. 7.4.4.
When disconnecting the hydraulic hoses observe that they still contain residual fluid.
Keep a suitable oil collecting tank ready.
Open the cover cap of the filler neck, see fig. 42 (important for the ventilation).
Open the drain screw using a hexagon socket wrench of size 10 mm. Make sure that
the leaking hydraulic fluid flows into the provided oil collecting tank.
Drain the hydraulic fluid completely.
Re-mount the drain screw.
In this connection, observe the tightening torque specified in fig. 52.
Re-install the hydraulic power unit according to chap. 7.4.4.
Fill in the new hydraulic fluid (information on the hydraulic fluid to be used is contained
in chap. 13). Also observe the information in chap. 8.3.
Close the filler neck by means of the cover cap.
