• RISK OF FREEZING—If any water remains in the cooling system, the laser must not be
subjected to freezing temperatures.

Safety Indicators

The yellow standby button located on the lower left of the touch screen control panel indicates
that the laser system is in the "standby" state. Depressing the foot switch will not activate the laser.
The green ready button indicates that the laser system is in the "ready" state. In the ready state,
no system errors are present and the touch screen is displaying the user power-settings screen.
Depressing the foot switch will activate the laser.
NOTE
: When the laser system switches from "standby" to "ready, " there is a two-second delay. This
delay allows time for the laser system operator to give adequate notice to personnel within the
working area.
An audible warning alerts personnel that the laser is firing.
NOTE:
The audible warning can be turned off in the laser options screen.
The emission-warning indicator (the blue LED atop the control panel) lights up when the laser
system is in the "ready" state and blinks when the laser is firing.
The information status bar, located on the touch screen control panel, provides alerts of any
internal system errors. The errors are referenced on pages 1-43 — 1-44 (see chart).
NOTE
: In the event of an error, the laser system will immediately return to "standby" and the
information status bar will display a corresponding error code.

Interference with Other Devices

Electromagnetic fields from other irradiants in the area surrounding the laser system can affect
the laser's performance. The laser's electromagnetic field can also have an effect on other
electrical devices.
Do not use cellular phones in the immediate vicinity of the laser system. See the section
on Electromagnetic Emission and Interference (pages 1-27 — 1-29) for details on potential
interference and separation distances.
