7. Measurement vessel
The sample is pipetted into the measurement vessel (7). The measurement vessel is placed on the
thermistor probe (4) and lowered into the lower cooling system (5). The lower cooling system cools the
sample down to a defined temperature.
The defined crystallization of the sample is triggered using ice crystals produced in the upper cooling
system (2).
The osmolality of the sample is calculated using the measured freezing point [°C] and the cryoscopic
constant and shown on the display.
NOTE!
Risk of incorrect measurement resulting from the presence of air bubbles in the sample!
• The sample must be pipetted without air bubbles.
