9. Specifications
The WEED-IT Quadro system detects living plant material using fluorescence. The system
treats 250 millimeter wide lanes. A measurement is made every millimeter in the driving
direction. When chlorophyll is detected the sensor will open the corresponding magnetic
valve that trails the sensor. As this valve passes over the plant it is opened and it will spray a
chemical agent onto the plant. Depending on environmental conditions and the condition
and type of the detected plant, the minimum leaf area detected is approximately 2 cm
