Entering measuring parameters

In the two methods for determining the surface and interfacial tension (ring and plate
methods) and in the density determination suitable parameters must be entered for the
particular application.
You can access the corresponding submenus by pressing the key
in each of the relevant main menus.
The keypad keys can now be used for entering values and texts; the functions
shown in the headlines of the keys, such as switching the illumination on/off, are no
longer available.
When entering parameters the parameters previously listed in the main menu are
run through successively. In the lower part of the display the range of values
applicable to the particular parameter is shown.
Numbers are entered by pressing the keys 0-9. For the decimal point the key
is used.
Parameter changes are confirmed with the Enter key. The display shows the
subsequent parameter in the list until all entries have been made. At the end a
return is made to the particular main menu.
The vertical arrow keys can be used to switch between the parameters to be
entered without altering their values.

The input line appears initially in inverse script. This indicates that the whole of the
previous entry will be deleted when an entry is made. If one of the horizontal arrow
keys is pressed then the marking disappears. The right-hand arrow key moves the
cursor to the end of the character string, so that you can append something. The
left-hand arrow key deletes the character to the left of the cursor.
