Safety information
6.1.1
Working with highly flammable liquids
Fire hazard due to highly flammable liquids
When working with highly flammable liquids a flammable gas mixture can emerge in
WARNING
the chamber.
After opening the chamber doors, wait for a moment for the vapour to escape
before you continue working at the instrument.
Heating the measuring probe must be carried out in a sufficient distance to the
instrument.
Let the heated measuring body cool down before attaching it to the probe
holder.

Measurements at high temperatures
Risk of burns and scalding by hot components and liquids
At higher temperatures, contact with the thermostat jacket or with hoses conducting
WARNING
liquid or with the hot liquid itself can lead to burns or scalding.
Wear heat-protecting gloves.
Let the liquid in the sample vessel cool down before removing the sample
vessel.
Let the thermostat jacket cool down before working at the measuring chamber.

For measurements at high temperatures it has to be checked if the goal
temperature is already reached before the measurement is started.
