Measuring speed

This is where the speed at which the sample stage moves up or down to determine the
maximum force is defined.
The default value of 3mm/min mainly needs to be reduced for interfacial tension
measurements and for small surface tensions, as at higher speeds the lamella can
tear more quickly. This applies chiefly to the
8.2.2

Detection speed

At the start of the measurement the sample stage is first moved upwards. The contact
between the plate and the surface of the liquid is registered owing to the change in
force; the height position is stored for the measurement. The
speed at which the sample stage moves upwards to find the liquid surface.
The default value of 20mm/min is normally suitable. You should not increase it by
much as otherwise the detected surface height becomes less accurate.
