Reading limit

The result at the end of a measurement is an arithmetic average value calculated from
a certain number of single measurements. This is where you enter the
number of these single measurement values. Ten measurements are usually sufficient.
In case of higher variations this number can be increased.

values to be used for calculating the standard deviation is set. When a
measurement is finished because the deviation conditions were matched, the
average value is calculated not from all values but from the values that were most
recently used for calculating the standard deviation.
7.1.3

Interval

The interval is the waiting period between the individual measured values. The default
value of 1 s can remain unchanged in most cases.
Extending the interval is advisable if long-term alterations are to be recorded. As
the individual measured values are only displayed but not recorded it is essential
that a printer or data logger is connected in order to observe the long-term
behavior.

Wetted length

The wetted length of the measuring probe is a parameter used for the calculation of the
surface tension.
Plate
If the standard plate is in use the default parameter of 40.200 mm must not be
changed. Only change this parameter if a different plate is used.
