Adjusting the K11

To adjust the K11 the adjustment set CP0503 with a 100g weight is required.
!
Remove the sample vessel or other fragile objects from the sample stage. These
could be damage when the weight is dropped inadvertently.
!
Never touch the weight or hook with your fingers, but only with tweezers. Otherwise
you will alter the weight and increase the risk of corrosion. Replace the set
components in the box after use. Keep the set in clean and dry surroundings.
The adjustment process requires a steady hand. If an overload or underload occurs
at the balance when attaching or removing the weight the calibration process will
be cancelled and must be restarted from the beginning.
Proceed as follows:
1. Before the adjustment please check that the instrument is level. If necessary, adjust
the feet until the bubble in the spirit level on the top of the instrument is located in
the inner circle.
2. Suspend the empty hook for the weight from the measuring probe holder of the K11
and close doors of the measuring chamber.
3. Start the adjustment with the keys
then tared.
4. After a short time the instructions
display. Attach the weight to the hook. If the weight moves to and fro then brake it
gently with the tweezers.
!
At this point the force sensor will not be locked. Avoid lateral force at the force
sensor because it can be damaged.
5. Close the balance door slowly and carefully. After a short time the instructions
appear on the display to indicate that the weight can be removed. Remove the
weight and hook. The instrument then reinitialises itself and is properly adjusted.
