Preparing a measurement
In the second stage the heavy phase is filled into an empty sample vessel. The
height should also be at least twice the immersion depth. After the probe has
touched the surface the lighter phase is carefully layered over the heavy phase.
This is best done by running it down the glass wall from a pipette. The probe must
be completely covered, as close as possible to the same depth as during the taring
process so that no weighing difference to the taring process is obtained.
Ring method
For
is overlayered by the lighter phase during the taring process.

General course of a measurement

A measurement is started by pressing the ENT-button in the main menu of the
corresponding method. If the keypad is in the parameter entry mode (
cannot be started.
In the run of the measurement user interactions are required, for example
exchanging the phases for an interfacial tension measurement. The necessary
interactions are indicated on the display of the control panel. When the required
manual step was carried out, the measurement is continued with by pressing the
ENT key.
A running measurement can be interrupted with the ESC-key of the control panel.

Data transfer and storage (optional)

Chapter 12.2 contains a complete documentation for the K11 Data-Logger Add-In
of the (optional) tensiometer software LabDesk.
In order to transfer the measuring data to the working memory the K11 must be
connected to a serial port of your computer with LabDesk and the add-in K11
Data-Logger
clicking on the corresponding command in the menu bar of the software or by
