Thermostatting the gas phase with the TJ20 (optional)
page 97
As a result of its superior heat exchange ability the liquid phase can usually be
better thermostatted than the gas space above the liquid; this is why the
temperature of the gas space is normally lower than that of the liquid. This
effect can be compensated by thermostatting the gas phase separately with a
second thermostat. In this case no alterations need to be made to the
thermostat jacket connections. Most thermostats are equipped with 10 mm
hoses; therefore the TJ20 is delivered with a Quick Lock set with 10 mm olives
to connect the thermostatted ring.
3. Place the filled sample vessel in the thermostat jacket. Place the plastic sealing ring
on the rim of the thermostat jacket.
