Ring method measurements
For example, if you enter 10% and the maximum force determined in the first
measurement is found to be 800mg then before the next measurement the liquid
will be moved from the maximum position until a value of 720mg is measured
(800mg-(800mg*10%)=720mg).
The relaxation value is initially set to 10% and this value can normally be retained.
Increasing the value causes the time required to make a measurement to be
increased unnecessarily.
Ring tear-off mode
With the ring tear-off method not the maximum force is measured but the height of the
ring above the surface at which the lamella breaks. This method is used for some
standards (e.g. ASTM D 971).
To reach the tear-off mode: Set the value for
8.1.7
Ring type
In addition to the standard ring, a smaller ring is also available for the K11. If you want
to make measurements with this smaller ring then ring type 1 (smaller ring) must be
selected.

Please remember to reset this parameter to the standard setting when you resume
work with the standard ring.
