Current limits

Description
The motor current and current limit values can be used to determine different system
statuses:
Motor operates more sluggishly,
e.g. because bearings are
damaged. Motor operates more
smoothly, e.g. because it has
run out of processing material.
Motor blocked
Motor runs at no load (e.g.
because system is damaged)
Response to residual current detection
Residual current detection responds if the motor current drops below 18.75% of the set rated
operational current in all 3 phases.
You use this device parameter to determine how the motor starter is to respond in the case
of residual current detection:
● Warning
● Trip
Note
When the motor is switched on, residual current detection is suppressed for around
1 second.
Response to current limit violation
You use this device parameter to specify how the motor starter is to respond in the event of
the current limits being violated:
● Warning
● Trip
