Door Lock Assembly Overview

1 - Cover
❑ Pressed into door.
❑ When removing, unclip
from lock cylinder and
remove bolt below.
2 - Bolt
❑ 20 Nm.
3 - Door
4 - Door lock
❑ Removing
❑ Door trim removed, re‐
fer to ⇒ Body Interior;
Rep. Gr. 70 ; Removal
and Installation
❑ Rear cover on inner
panel removed
⇒ page 90
– Raise window up.
– Lock cylinder removed.
– Remove bolts -2- and
slide door lock down.
– Disengage internal
mechanism cable -7-
from door lock.
❑ Install in reverse se‐
quence.

❑ So-called »paddle«
must be guided into
groove -arrow- in door
lock during installation
6 - Lock cylinder
7 - Inside door release mechanism cable
Internal mechanism cable, engaging in door lock
– To install, first insert release cable -2- vertically into release
lever -3- as shown in the magnified area of illustration, then
swivel 90° and clip into door lock -1- to secure.
