– Remove cover -4- and remove the control cable from retaining
clip -3-.
– Pull sealing grommet -1- with control cable -2- from the body
opening.
– Remove the mount for the lid lock control cables.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
– Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to
⇒ "1.4 Plenum Chamber Cover", page 5
– Install the engine compartment E-box cover. Refer to ⇒ Elec‐
trical Equipment; Rep. Gr. 97 ; Removal and Installation .
– Attach control cable fitting -3- in operating lever -4-.
– Conduct hood control cable -2- over the idler pulley -arrow-
and press it into bracket -1-.
– Installing the lower A-pillar trim. Refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep.
Gr. 70 ; Removal and Installation .
– Installing the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer
to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Removal and Installation .
