waypoint
in nautical
miles; both RN
(RNAV)

GS/ TTS SELECTOR
SWITCH - In
NA V 1,
NA V 2, or HOLD
mode, selects display
of
ground speed
(GS)
or time-to-station (TTS).
In RNAV
mode,
display
shows
ground
speed
component
to
or
from
the VOR (not to waypoint) or
the time t,o the
VOR
station
at that indicated
ground
speed.

DME
MODE
SELECTOR SWITCH
- Selects
DME operating
mode
as follows:
RNAV:
Selects area
navigation
operation;
selects
display
of
nautical
miles
(distance) to selected RNAV waypoint.
NAV 1: Selects
DME
operation
with
No. 1 VHF navigation set; enables
channel selection by
NAV 1
frequency
selector
switches.
HOLD:
Selects
DME
memory
circuit; DME remains channeled to station to
which
it
was channeled when HOLD was selected;
display
of distance
continues to
be n
a
utical miles
to
that
station.
Both
the NAV
1
and the
NAV 2
sets
may be set to new operation
frequencies
.
CAUTION
In the
HOLD mode, there is
no annunciation
of the
VOR/DME
station
frequency.
NAV 2:
Selects DME
operation with
No.
2 VHF navigation
set; enables
channel selection by
NAV 2 frequency
selector
switches.
