MODE SELECTOR CONTROL - Selects one of the desired operating

- Selects upper sideband operation for long range voice communica-
tions.

- Selects upper sideband with reduced carrier, used for public corres-
pondence telephone and ship-to-shore.

- (Optional) Selects lower sideband operation (not

SQUELCH CONTROL - Used to adjust signal threshold
necessa

a ctiv
ate
receiver
audio.
Clockwise rotation increases background noise (decreases
squelch action); counterclockwise rotation decreases background noise.

"clarify"
single sideband speech during
receive while in USE mode
only.

CHANNEL SELECTOR CONTROL

Selects desired channel. Also selects AM

kHz.

ON - AUDIO CONTROL - Turns set ON and controls receiver audio gain.
