Compact mode
Please note
Observe the sequence "inputs before outputs" in compact
mode, if both inputs and outputs are fitted in a CP system.
In compact mode configure the sum of the input bytes and
the sum of the output bytes separately and independently
of each other (see Fig. 2/9). The following applies here:
CP valve terminals occupy two output bytes irrespective of
whether valves are fitted.
– Assign the DP identifiers in ascending order without gaps.
No field may remain unused. Enter inputs before outputs.
– If there are only output modules or CP valve terminals,
enter their DP identifiers in line 0.
– The string assigned with the highest number of inputs
and outputs defines the sum of input or output bytes.
– Non-existent CP valve terminals, output modules or input
modules occupy input or output bytes, if a higher string is
assigned with inputs or outputs.
Maximum configuration in compact mode:
023 039 8 input bytes and 8 output bytes
