Applying Windows2000 Service Pack 3
To reapply Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 when you install some application on NEC
Express5800/ft series, follow the steps below:
IMPORTANT:
Do not apply other service pack versions. For the latest
information on support for Windows 2000 Service Pack, contact your sales agent.
1.
Insert Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 CD-ROM into the drive.
2.
Run \W2Ksp3.exe.
3.
When finished, restart the system.
4.
Start Explorer from [Program] of Start menu.
5.
Overwrite the following files by copying them:
File names: USBD.SYS
From:
To:
Since the NEC Express5800/ft series module is replaced with the Service Pack module by applying
Windows 2000 Service Pack 3, you will need to replace it with ft series module again. After that
check to see that the file version is 1.0.1700.0 (file version is shown in the file properties).

6.
Restart the system.
