Installing Maintenance Utilities

Various maintenance utilities are contained in your NEC EXPRESSBUILDER CD-ROM. See
Chapter 6 for installing the utilities to your server or management workstations.

Updating the System - Applying Service Pack -

<Windows Server 2003>
Ensure that Service Pack 1 is applied and update the system.
The necessary drivers for NEC Express5800 will be applied by updating the system.
IMPORTANT: If you change the configuration of the system (by
adding or removing hardware or Operating system software
components) or repair the system, you must run the system update
again.
NOTE: Without applying Service Pack is not supported.
This device requires Service Pack 1 or later.
If you install Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM which contains Service
Pack 1 to your system, you do not have to apply Service Pack 1 again.

Logon to the system using the administrator account or other account which is a member
of the Administrators group.
If you use Windows Server 2003 CD-ROM which includes Service Pack 1, go on the step
4.

If you use Service Pack 1 that downloaded from Web site, copy Service Pack 1 to the
voluntary directory of your system.
Put the downloaded modules into the voluntary directory.
If you have Microsoft Service Pack 1 CD-ROM, go on the step 3.
NOTE: Put the downloaded modules into the voluntary directory as it
stands. (ex. C:\temp)
