8. Check the wiring harness for continuity.

Wiring harness continuity:
Terminal 1–Terminal 64
Terminal 2–Terminal 77
9. Connect the engine ECM coupler b.
10. Install the engine temperature sensor,
and then connect the engine temperature
sensor coupler a.

Checking the thermoswitch

1. Disconnect the thermoswitch connectors
a and b.
2. Turn the engine start switch to ON, and
then measure the input voltage at the
thermoswitch connectors.

Thermoswitch input voltage:
Pink (P)–Black (B)
4.75–5.25 V
3. Turn the engine start switch to OFF.
4. Remove the thermoswitches.
5. Place the thermoswitches in a container
of water and heat the water slowly.

6. Check the thermoswitches for continuity
at the specified temperatures. Replace if
out of specification.
