To install an option card in a Supervisory module:
Attach the ESD-preventive wrist strap to your bare wrist and connect the metal end to

the ground receptacle on the top-left corner of the switch chassis.
Remove the Supervisory module from the switch as described in

Series Module
Loosen the retaining screws on the option slot cover plate and remove the plate.

Align the option card with the card guides on the module, and carefully slide the option card

into the option slot.
At the edge of the module, rotate the hot-swap prevention latch up and hold it out of the way.

Slide the option card the rest of the way into the slot.

Release the hot-swap prevention latch and verify that the option card has engaged the

alignment pins and connector at the back of the card.
