Making WLAN Measurements
Making WLAN List Sequence (WLS) Measurements
Measurement Example Signal Settings
The sequence of multi-bursts from Device Under Test (DUT) should be
repeating 3 times, therefore, the valid bursts can be identified and
analyzed.
In a sequence, the maximum number of bursts is 45.
Measurement Procedure
The primary UI for this measurement is SCPI commands. There is no menu
displayed under Meas Setup. All the settings under Meas Setup are SCPI
only.
For the SCPI commands with different parameters and the detailed usage
of each SCPI command, please refer to N9077A & W9077A WLAN
Measurement Application User's and Programmer's Reference.
Step 1. Set up the SCPI communication with the analyzer.
The GPIB or LAN can be used for remote control. The Keysight I/O Library
Suite is recommended for connecting the Keysight instruments to the PC and
using the instruments from a measurement program. For more detailed
information, see the URL: http://www.keysight.com/find/iolib.
Step 2. Set the analyzer to the WLAN mode and enable the WLS measurement:

SCPI Commands for WLS Measurement (1)
INST:SEL WLAN
*RST
CONF:WLS
INIT:CONT OFF

Number of Burst: 12
Frequency:
1.98 GHz ~ 2.013 GHz
Power:
-5 dBm ~ -15 dBm (at analyzer input)
WLAN Standard: 802.11ag
SCPI Commands
Notes
Select WLAN mode.
*RST is preferred over :SYST:PRES for remote operation.
*RST performs a Mode Preset as done by the
:SYST:PRES command and it sets the measurement
mode to Single measurement rather than Continuous
for optimal remote control throughput.
Select WLAN List Sequence measurement.
Set to Single mode.
