Configuring Measurement Conditions (Display and
Function Related Settings)
This chapter provides information on the various settings accessible through
the MEAS SETUP page of the E4980A/AL.
Initializing the Instrument
The E4980A/AL can be initialized into one of the following four default states:

CLEAR SETTING
CLEAR SET&CORR
FACTORY DEFAULT

How the instrument is initialized
When you initialize the instrument into this state, all basic
parameters configurable through the front panel and SCPI
commands are cleared. (You get the same result by issuing the
*RST command).
When you initialize the instrument into this state, calibration
data and backup items listed in the initial setting list are all
cleared.

When you initialize the instrument into this state, it reverts to
factory default settings with all user-configurable data
cleared.
When you initialize the instrument into this state, the LAN
setting is returned to the factory default state.
