Making Spurious Emissions Measurements

Making successful measurements of WLAN signals is easy when you follow the
main steps below.
Measurement results are available in graphical displays that can be presented
in preset groups or adjusted to suit your specific application. Most results are
also available in tabular format.

Configuring the Measurement System

This step configures the analyzer connections for measuring WLAN signals.
Before connecting a signal to the analyzer, make sure the analyzer can
safely accept the signal level provided. The signal level limits are marked
next to the RF Input connectors on the front panel.
Connect the RF output of the device under test (DUT), which generates WLAN
signals, to the signal analyzer RF input port as shown in
Setup" on page

If it is available, for time alignment, it is recommended to connect external
reference output of the DUT to the external reference input of the analyzer
and the trigger output of the DUT to the trigger input of the analyzer.
See the Input Key menu for details on selecting input ports, and the AMPTD Y
Scale menu, for details on setting internal attenuation to prevent overloading
the analyzer.
