6. Normally the system will work correctly with automatic IP addressing, but if
there are problems, select
following values:

An IP address in the range 169.254.254.120 to 169.254.254.254.
•
A subnet mask 255.255.0.0
A dialog box appropriately filled in is as follows:

INSTALLING THE MODULAB XM ECS SOFTWARE
The user controls the system from a PC running the ModuLab XM software, which
is supplied on a single CD.
The PC must conform to the system requirements given in Section 2.1.1.
The ModuLab XM software is installed as follows:
1. Make sure you are logged in to the PC as a user with Administrator privileges.
2. Close down all tasks.
3. Insert the CD into the relevant drive.
4. If the CD does not run automatically, select
the equivalent commands in Windows 7 or 8, and enter the pathname of the
setup file on your CD, e.g.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

An alternative range of IP addresses will have to be used, for the PC
and the ModuLab XM, if the PC is connected to a network that already
uses the default range of addresses.
