ModuLab XM ECS Electrochemical System: Installation Guide

• You can use the auxiliary channels on the potentiostat, if they are fitted, but
the connections to the cell are not the same as those for the ModuLab XM
Test Cell, shown in the connections diagram for the Auxiliary Channel DC
Test. The ModuLab XM 0.1 ohm Cell has only a single component, a resistor
between CE (which connects to RE1) and WE (which connects to RE2). The
auxiliary channels should therefore all be connected in parallel to the
reference electrodes, with the blue cables connected to RE1 and the green
cables connected to RE2, and they will all be expected to give the same
results. Otherwise, the test is carried out as described for the Auxiliary
Channel DC Test.
A typical set of results for Linear Sweep Voltammetry is as follows:
This is basically the same as the results of the Potentiostat Test, except that the
current range is higher, contributing to a higher power output.
