4 Replacement Procedures

Installing the Modem Daughter Card

To install the modem daughter card, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-10 and
4-11.
1. Carefully connect the modem cable to JP1 on the modem daughter card.
2. Seat the modem daughter card and press carefully on the right end of the card to
connect it to PJ9 (Satellite 1400 series) or PJ125 (Satellite 2400 series) on the
system board. Be careful not to damage the card or connector.
3. Secure the modem daughter card with two M2×4 super flat screws.
4. Seat the modem daughter card slot cover.
5. Secure the cover with one M2.5×4 black flat-head screw.
