Replacing the Power Supply

To replace the power supply, perform the following procedure and refer to Figure 4-14.
1. Connect power cable P1 (label up) to the connector at J6M1 on the system board.
2. Connect power cable P6 (label down) to the FDD.
3. Set the power supply in place with the fan facing the system board and secure it with
four 6/32x1/4 screws.
4. Connect power cable P2 (label up) to the HDD.
5. Connect power cable P5 (label up) to the CD-ROM drive.
6. Replace the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.2.) and rear bezel (refer
to section 4.2.4.), as viewed from the rear.
7. Connect the power cord and all external cables to the computer and turn on the power.

Modem Card

This section covers the removal and replacement of the computer's modem card.

Removing the Modem Card

To remove the computer's modem card, perform the following procedure and refer to Figure
4-15.
1. Turn off power to the computer, then disconnect the power cord and all external
cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.1.), as viewed from the
rear.
3. Lay the computer on its side, so that you are looking down into the computer.
4. Disconnect the audio cable from the socket at JP4 on the modem card.
5. Remove the screw that secures the modem card to the chassis.
6. Carefully grasp the modem card, noting the ISA slot it is in, and gently pull until it is
free of its slot.
