4-13 Blower Air Adjustment

The blower air is used to separate the cover sheets
when they are fed. When the blower air is too weak or
too strong, double feeding or mis-feeding can occur. If
necessary, adjust the amount of blower air.
Adjust the air pressure.
- Pull out on the blower air adjusting lever to
reduce the blower air. Press the lever in to
increase the blower air.
- If the blower air flow is too weak, the cover
sheets will not be separated. If the blower air
is too strong, the cover sheets will flap.

4-14 Double Feed Stop Pad Height Adjustment

If there is frequent double feeding or mis-feeding
although the blower air is set properly, adjust the height
of the double feed stop pad.
Adjust the pad height.
- Lower the pad height adjusting lever to raise
the pad. As the pad is raised, the gap
between the feed rotor and the pad is reduced
to help prevent double feeding.
