What an authorized installer can do
Carefully check polarity of each speaker.
Isolate to source or zone and correct.
Increase/decrease source level (+9/- 6dB).
Set DIP switches to Variable.
Connect Variable zone output to amplifier.
Check cable ends at binding posts and speaker terminals.
Check continuity of each speaker cable using a multimeter. If
short or open is indicated, check wiring for proper connections.
Swap with known good speaker.
Verify source is powered up and playing. Check any Tape
Monitor settings on A/V Receiver.
Correct Impedance-Match jumper settings on volume control(s)
Reversed Wiring on Volume Control, correct wiring
