ZNET Errors Detected Screen
Press DND again to cycle to the ZNET Errors Detected screen. This will show the ZNET Errors Detected screen,
a counter that increments whenever the S128P receives data over the ZNET bus that is not a properly formatted
ZNET command with a correct checksum. This usually occurs under one of three conditions:
1) When there are wiring problems on the ZNET bus
2) When electrical interference injects signals on the ZNET bus
3) When a ZNET device like a Z100/150 keypad fails in a way that causes it to emit electrical noise on the ZNET
bus.
Under normal circumstances, it is not unusual to see the counter increment a few times in the course of wiring up
or connecting controls to an S128P system. After the wiring is complete or control(s) connected, the counter should
not be incrementing.
If the counter is incrementing frequently or constantly, there is an issue on the ZNET bus or with a ZNET control and
the installer needs to troubleshoot until the issue is identified and resolved.
Factory Default
The last screen in the Diagnostics Menu is the Factory Default screen. Use this feature to reset the S128P back to
original factory programming. With the Factory Default screen visible, press ZONE and VOL UP. The unit will reset
itself and all programming will be removed.
